What are the benefits of registering for Let's Talk?
As a registered user you can:
  • Participate in discussion forums (email verification required as part of the registration process)
  • Share your stories, have your say, post comments or provide feedback.
  • Stay up to date with current consultations
  • Take part in quick polls,
  • Be invited to attend online actives such as webinars and discussions with topic experts

How is the site moderated?
All moderation is carried out by the ATO. The moderators do not edit or alter any comments and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, contain personal tax information which case they are removed from the site immediately. Refer to the Let’s Talk Terms of use and Conditions.

What feedback tools do you have available on the Let’s Talk site?
There are a wide range of tools available on the site that has been designed to be hassle free and easy to use:
  • Formal Submission forms allow you to provide your feedback quick and easily, often used for consultations that have a legislative requirement.
  • Feedback forms and online Surveys help us to gather information, local knowledge, community views and opinions. It’s an easy way for you to contribute your ideas and thoughts.
  • Quick polls are exactly that; a quick snapshot in time to measure the 'community pulse' on a specific topic or project.
  • Discussion forums allows you to discuss and share your views with the community and ATO. They are great for open and honest discussion and debate.

Is it anonymous?
Yes! A screen name is required for registration, which will appear for any feedback you provide to us. If you feel more comfortable by retaining your anonymity, choose a unique screen that will not personally identify you.

Your privacy is totally protected because 'Let's Talk' is hosted and moderated by an external independent organisation, Bang the Table.

No third parties have access to or will be provided with your details. For further information, refer to the privacy policy.

The ATO only have access to your details to inform you of up and coming consultations that you have selected as areas of interest.
